Will CEIVA™ Sender be available for the Macintosh?
When we first announced the CEIVA™ Sender in 2004, our Mac customers inquired about future development on the Mac OS X platform. Rather than re-invent the wheel, we at CEIVA™ have come up with a simple, fun way for Mac users to send pictures to their Receivers using Apple's state-of-the-art photo management tool, iPhoto, together with our CEIVA Mobile™ feature. iPhoto comes free with every OS X Mac system, and there is no charge for using our CEIVA Mobile™ feature. Simply follow the instructions below and begin sending photos from your Mac today!
Visit the CEIVA Mobile™ web page and create an email address for your Receiver by clicking here. Just click the Turn On button for your Receiver and hit the Update button. Write down the email address that appears when the page refreshes and click Done.
Open iPhoto and select the pictures you wish to send to your Receiver. (You can click and drag a lasso around multiple pictures.) Then click on the Mail button located at the bottom of your iPhoto window.
A pop-up window will appear asking you to choose a file size. Select Medium (640*480) and click the Compose button. (Don't worry-- this will create medium-resolution copies of your pictures, while leaving your original images unchanged.)
Your Mail program will launch, and a new message will .be composed with your images included as attachments. Enter your CEIVA™ Mobile email address into the To line and click Send.
That's it! Your pictures will be sent to your Receiver's New Incoming Photos area, and will be downloaded the next time your Ceiva dials in. Please be sure that the email is no larger than 5 Mbs in size (about 100 photos). We hope you enjoy sending photos to your Receiver using Apple's iPhoto application.
