Why does my CEIVA Digital Photo Frame™ have a black screen?


Please determine which CEIVA frame you have and follow the instructions below.

CEIVA 1 CUSTOMERS (The backing on your frame is cardboard)

After making sure that your frame is plugged into a working power outlet, please tap the black button on the back of your frame several times to ensure that the screen brightness level does not simply need to be increased. If this does not help check to see if you have a CEIVA Connector on your Power Adapter. The CEIVA® Connector is a 6-8 inch extension cord that would connect to the Power Adapter on your CEIVA 1 Digital Photo Frame™.

If you do not have one, please order a CEIVA Connector completely free-of-charge by visiting: http://www.ceiva.com/cstore/ct/product.jsp?pid=1002. This connector will help to regulate the power going into your power adapter and should correct your black screen.

If you already have a CEIVA Connector and your CEIVA 1 Digital Photo Frames still has a black screen, please contact us at 1-877- MYCEIVA for further assistance.

CEIVA 2 & 3 CUSTOMERS (The backing on your frame is plastic)

On the back of your frame, below the brightness button is a green LED. Is that light on? If yes, please tap the black button several times to ensure that the screen brightness level does not simply need to be increased.

If the LED is not on, make sure that the power adapter is plugged in correctly and that you are using a working power outlet, then please tap the black button several times to ensure that the screen brightness level does not simply need to be increased.

CEIVA 7-inch, CEIVA 8-inch, CEIVAShare, CEIVAlife and CEIVA Pro 80 CUSTOMERS

On the bottom of your frame is a power light. Is that light on? If yes, please tap the black button several times to ensure that the screen brightness level does not simply need to be increased.

If the LED is not on, make sure that the power adapter is plugged in correctly and that you are using a working power outlet, then please tap the black button several times to ensure that the screen brightness level does not simply need to be increased.
